Find a Group

more than just Sundays…

The best way to give the most to and get the most from being a part of St Andrew’s is to join a group.

We have two kinds of groups at St Andrew’s, small-groups and Missional Communities. Learn more about them on this page.

Missional Communities

Family on mission
Missional community social, bbq in the woods
Missional community Christmas party, people sitting with Christmas hats
Missional community party, a table with food and three people having a conversation
The words, Up. IN. OUT A triangle with these 3 points. Up = to God (worship, prayer, bible study etc) In = to other believers (developing community informally and socially) Out= to the world (sharing the gospel, serving our community) . There are questions: How do we make disciples who make disciples? Start Simply, imitate what Jesus did.

What is a Missional Community?

A Missional Community (MC) is a close-knit spiritual family of Christians on mission together. The size of an extended family, MC’s are united around a shared aim of reaching a particular neighbourhood or network of relationships with the good news of Jesus. Groups meet 3-4 times a month, attending to the three dimensions of Christian life – up, in and out.

Why Missional Communities at St Andrew’s?

For most of the past eight years St Andrew’s has been well-served by small groups formed for a single term to focus on a particular activity, course or bible study. However, since 2015 we’ve seen some big changes in the makeup of our church and our wider vision. As such we now recognise that we need to grow deeper in community and go further in mission together. As we’ve explored what that might look like we’ve discerned God’s call to discover a new way of organising our mid-weekly groups which we hope will make that possible – Missional Communities.

How can I find out more?

Read more in our Missional Community Booklet with more information and helpful questions. You can view our current groups below. Contact us or any of the group leaders if you’re interested in joining or starting your own Missional Community.

Small Groups

Be a BIG part of something small

We love to invest in each other’s lives, share the awesome and awkward moments together, pray for each other and encourage everyone to live out the unique design and destiny God has given them.

At St Andrew’s there are big things happening in our small groups. These are groups of 6-12 people who meet weekly to connect with God and with one another. So if you are looking for a place to connect, make new friends, deepen relationships, encounter God’s love and have the occasional party then go ahead and jump in and discover the big moments in life often happen in the small corners of life.

Our Small Groups start and finish on a term by term basis. This allows everyone to sign up for groups at the same time, 3 times a year. These are called our sign up months, and will take place in January, May and September.

If you would like to find out more about small groups or have any questions then please contact us.

Other Ways to Contribute

Joining a group is only one part of belonging to the church community. We’ve all been given different gifts and we all have a role to play in building up the church.

Playing your part by serving on a team is a great way to get to know people and feel more at home at St Andrew’s.
