At St Andrew’s, we aspire to follow the call of Jesus to reach out in Compassionate Mission around the world.

Jesus said ‘As the Father has sent me, so I send you.’ Our priorities are to support church members who have a long-term calling to global mission, and to inspire and equip people both for short and long-term mission.

We support mission partners around the world in Social Action, Bible translation, Church Planting and sharing Jesus with those who have not heard the Good News yet.

Some of our Mission Partners:

The Secchia Family

“The Secchia family have been part of St Andrew’s since 2002, living in Ethiopia between 2009 and 2021, they work for Wycliffe Bible Translators. Before the civil war forced them to evacuate in late 2021 they lived in the capital Addis Ababa, where Hannele served in Member Care, supporting, encouraging and advising Christians from around the world based in Ethiopia. Her work has been particularly focused on orienting those newly arriving and those transitioning out to new places. Marc works mostly on social media, this might be creating new ways for people to access the Bible in their mother tongue or updating websites and facebook pages and was the Field Security Officer in Addis Ababa. They have four daughters; the older girls are taking IGCSEs & A/S Levels in 2022 and thinking about their next steps.

Ethiopia continues to suffer political instability and in some areas there have been ethnic clashes that have led to colleagues needing to evacuate.

Please pray for peace across Ethiopia and an end to conflict; for Marc and Hannele in their work and as parents; for health and protection, wisdom and peace as a family.”

We support two families serving with Frontiers, a mission organisation that sends teams to live out and share the love of Jesus in Muslim communities where no one has previously made Him known.

People who join Frontiers and live overseas are committed to:

  • Joining a team of like-minded people and living in unreached Muslim communities.
  • Learning the language and engaging in the culture of the people they live amongst.
  • Using their giftings and vocational skills to bless the communities they live in.
  • Sharing the good news of Jesus and inviting people to follow Him.
  • Seeing people, families and communities transformed through Jesus
  • Growing, healthy communities of Christ followers into being.
