Integrated health project/Syrian refugees
An integrated health and spiritual project was set up by Palestinian believers to serve Syrian-Palestinian refugees who came to Lebanon to seek shelter from the conflict 2012 onwards. Jonathan Holmberg oversaw the first four phases while he was working in Lebanon and encourages us to stand with them as they meet medical needs and share the message of Jesus. The clinic work is led by a local Palestinian GP from the host community, who with his wife and a team of volunteers visit patients to check on their progress and invite them to a Discovery Bible Study. 35 groups are currently meeting in this refugee camp and as patients are able to return home, or visit relatives they take Jesus with them.
St Andrews would like to encourage the Community Health Assistance programme by providing funds for desperately needed medicines.
